Winemaker Jorge Monzón got off to a good start interning at Domaine La Romanée-Conti straight out of enology school, not speaking a word of French. The lessons he learned about terroir and tradition in France have resulted in some of the best Ribera del Duero we’ve come across. Whole cluster natural yeast fermentation reveals a more elegant side of the region. Gorgeous aromatics, succulent berry fruit, and excellent structure worthy of cellaring.
